Rates and Fees

El Paso, Texas probate and estate planning attorney Matt Watson realizes that many clients' greatest fear in hiring an attorney is not knowing how a lawyer will charge for services rendered and how much the client will be expected to pay. To reduce such concerns, the law office provides each of the following:

Flat Fees for Estate Planning

We quote a flat fee in advance for estate planning matters such as wills, trusts, advance directives, etc. based on your goals and situation.

Flat Fees for most Probate

We quote a flat fee in advance in advance for uncontested probate matters based on the information you provide. Flat fees are quoted on uncontested matters such as probate of a will as a muniment of title, a small estates affidavit, an affidavit of heirship, and independent administration. Such flat fees include completion of the item with up to a certain number of attorney work hours at a reduced rate in exchange for payment of all fees in full in advance. Should work required exceed this amount because the matter becomes contested, possibly resulting in litigation, or the law office becomes required to locate and depose witnesses first thought to be readily available and willing to assist, or if the client is unwilling or unable to facilitate the location and retrieval of certain basic financial documents, such fee will convert into an hourly rate to include an hourly fee for only the additional hours spent.

Payment Plans

In addition to working under fixed fee arrangements, the law office will, upon receipt of a mutually agreed to down payment, accept payments made pursuant to a payment plan.
